Obviously asked before Alex’s departure, these questions are staying. It doesn’t matter where he goes, he’ll always be a Halesowen player.

BGH: Can you remember your first ever football match as a kid? What happened? AC: I was playing for Forest Falcons and we won 2-0. BGH: Tell us a bit about your career so far. Did you want a career in the professional game. If so, how close did you come? AC: When I was young, yes, I did want to get into the professional game. I had a lot of scouts look at me but nobody took the chance. BGH: Mark Danks said in the last issue that he didn’t notice too many changes in the club when he returned this season. You weren’t away as long, but did the club feel any different when you came back? AC: No, it was pretty much the same. The beer’s a bit worse! Only joking... BGH: Realistically, how far up the pyramid do you think that the club can go? AC: Nationwide Conference. BGH: Who is the best player that you have played with? AC: Gary Knight. BGH: And against? AC: Joe Cole. BGH: Which team has impressed you the most this season? AC: If it’s in our league it would have to be Farnborough. BGH: There aren’t many positions that you haven’t played in for Halesowen. What do you consider your best position to be? AC: Right wing. BGH: I hate Team Bath. I think it’s unfair a University team, funded by the taxpayer, should be able to compete with teams that have to support themselves. Do you agree or aren’t you bothered? AC: Ain’t bothered! BGH: You’re currently second in the Halesowen Sports Personality of the Year award. Have you been getting everyone you know to vote for you? AC: No, but Amy has though I don’t think it was enough. BGH: The physio said that you were as ‘hard as nails’. Do you agree?AC: No, he’s a wimp. BGH: You’re an Albion fan - they’re rubbish this season aren’t they?AC: We are the best footballing side in the league. We just need a good striker. BGH: Out of all the footballers in the world, is Jonathan Greening really your favourite? AC: No. BGH: What’s the best ground you’ve ever played at? AC: The Hawthorns, of course. BGH:And what’s the least pleasant away trip in the Southern League?AC: Tiverton Town. BGH: What’s been your favourite game as a Halesowen player? AC: The FA Cup First Round game against Yeading. BGH: For one million pounds, would you hit a wasps net with a cricket bat and then run away? There’s no guarantee that they will get really angry and chase you but they might... AC: Of course - what’s a few was wasp stings for a million pounds? BGH: Who is your favourite member of Girls Aloud? AC: Cheryl Cole. BGH: What’s your favourite drink and how much of it do you consume?AC: Lager and quite a bit on the weekends. BGH: What would you spend your last £10 on? AC: 4 pints of beer.
